what is your return policy?

We have a 25% restocking fee on unopened special order parts. How many days do you give for returns? 15, 30 days? What is your charge for restocking?

Assuming you are a GM store, you should consider upping your charge to 35% since that's what the General charges to send them back.

No electrical parts returned, no exceptions. 35% fee charged on anything that wasn't our fault. No returns after 30 days.

I charge 35% as that's what GM charges me. I take it case by case as far as returns. No returns on SP_ORD parts

Generally speaking no fee on unopened stocking parts. 35% of special orders. No returns on open electrical.

How about Wholesale customers? We charge 10% on sp-ords cause I don't want to scare anyone away, as Wholesale is so competitive these days.I've been using my stock return reserve and barely able to keep up, but that hurts obsolescence cause were using most of the reserve on customer/service/wholesale/screw-ups/no-show returns. Someone at some point is going to have to pay the 35% but I feel like a criminal when I tell them that.

Service should pay the 35% for the service screw-ups and no shows via a CSO return.

We now charge 35% on ALL special ordered returned parts. I have a spread sheet on which all the information is documented: part # cost R.O. etc. I charge the cost to the responsible party and indicate when the transaction is complete.
