Anyone see a drastic price increase this morning on their D2D billing? Mine went from $199 last month, to $449...

W.T.F ?

G.M rep is useless.. and for some reason I can't find a phone number to inquire about it !!

I warned you all a few months ago about the price increases coming...... they jacked the rates up again, dropping the $199 tier entirely. Tier 1 is now $299 which is the minimum you can be at.

I also found out the ADP/CDK/Mickey Mouse Outfit had my part number retention set to 7 years......OEC was picking those numbers up, and charging me for Tier 2 based on number of part numbers listing...even with zero on hand or on order.

Needless to say, it's been changed and I have over 20K in AP part numbers that will roll off Jan 1.

I called..received a pretty weak, scripted response, from a 12? year old that answered the phone.

They say:

"The 6 tier system has went away. They are now basing billing on a 3 tier system. Based on a 6 moth average of part numbers. A letter was mailed out in the last 30 days, to explain the changes that were coming"

I've spoken to 2 other stores in my area, and they are being billed 2 different prices, both lower than mine.

After finding that fact, I called my rep back, and she looked at what her other dealers were paying. According to those numbers, there are still 6 tiers of pricing.

I have requested a copy of this ghost letter, with no answer at OEConnection. I guess I'll see what happens :o

If the 3 tier system is an accurate future billing excuse, my 4100 parts numbers, will cost the same amount as some of the big guys with 10,000. (based on the local dealer billings I have found)

IRO - NS retention parameter.

I set mine to 28 months, but I'm still thinking about lowering it to 24 or even 18.

I really wish I could run my parts department without manufacturer interference!!!!!!

I want to go back to the basics that Mike Nichols taught us - 3 sales in 12 months, stock the part. Once it drops below 2 sales in 12 months, stop stocking the part!! It's pure, it's simple, and it works!!

They are raising the rates for dealers when your yearly renewal date comes around so most dealerships are still at the lower rate. I canceled our subscription because of this price increase. Our guys will simply pick up the phone to check if local dealers may have a part or check the warehouse via Dealerworld. We will lose a few sales to other dealers and Sprints but not much. Most Sprints go to the big wholesale dealers first anyways. I ran reports of all dealer sales and Sprints and we profit about $180 per month. OE connection is not worth $349 a month to my store. If you want my honest evaluation, it would be $99.

the original price was $49, and that's where it should have stayed.... the biggest help it was to me was finding parts for GM to close SPRINT cases, since they are too lazy to do it themselves.

I canceled too, but the "CONSULTANT" told the dealer we HAD to have it, it was crippling our business....  :o

Just received my FU letter today along with a price bump to $449/mo.

I guess this is how they are paying for MyPricelink.
