RIM Proposal

This same mess happens every quarter. Ever since SLP, remember when we had to add 500+ numbers? It's just more ridiculous suggestions from a third-grade program(remember 10-year olds have no common sense). On our monthly RIM returns over 50% of the parts still have the "NEW" bin location on the PDC pick tag. VERY efficient.

Also, keep in mind this RIM deal is entirely voluntary ;) you can opt out any time you want

My DM responded with the Pelosi-esque "well, we had the dealers in mind doing this before the is price change!"

I responded.."you are still raping me whether you only gimme the tip or the hole 9 yards!" My apologies if that offended the board.

I haven't heard back from him.

• We found an opportunity with our stratification and simulation shows this will allow RIM to manage new model parts more accurately
• We are mindful of the incremental price increase coming November 1, so while this strata change will be larger than normal, we want to put it in prior to the price increase. This will give you an opportunity to accept policies and receive material before the change is in effect.

Here is the condensed version: "We want to put it in." :o :?

And now there's this:

"Stratification - On Hold Order - 10/18/2016 10:45 AM - Due to the quarterly stratification RIM has an escalated number of on Hold orders today. RIM will be working to release most On Hold orders by 11:30 AM to ensure timely delivery of the orders. E-Mail communication has been sent to each dealer reflecting the release time for their On Hold Order. Please review your e-mail and respond as requested."

Excellent work, GM.

I dealt with part of my 240 some proposals and said no to some and yes to others. (HOW DUMB) Of the 110 numbers ordered on this round, 23 parts backordered, 8 part number changes, and 1 part is CSO only. I guess I am just not smart enough to figure this stuff out. Forty two years in this industry with thirty plus in parts I haven't learned a thing.............
