Been working in parts departments for 20+ years. My first mentor freaked out when they had to switch to RIM in mid-late 2000's.

I simply reply to technicians and advisors all the time when they say "you should have this part in stock"...

"If you will sell it; we will stock it."

What I love is the new tech that says that his other store use to stock it, and so should you. It never fails, I look at the availability of the part. It never fails that their old shop and about no one else.
Why is it you are the one tech that needs it?

I've always said I could every part for every GM vehicle since 1990 in stock except
for one part, and that would be the part they need. They're never happy.
