In Reynolds, one would have to intentionally skip a part when doing the CSO everyday. Is he ordering manually on global and doesn't know how to use DCS or what?

In adp if you pull your SOR's in PO he maybe making an order for customer orders in the local facing PDC eg: 0227C then a separate order for items not from your facing PDC eg: 0227E
Then when sending orders in DCS either types the control # wrong or forgets to transmit. This way the order would show in ADP (and on the advisors list) but the manufacturer would have no record.

If you still need any help with a report for obsolescence PM me and we can get in touch.

Well turns out he knew what to do and what report to run (the PM I mean), but he said he just stopped doing them. When asked why, he said "eh, it doesn't matter, it all rolls over". So working on the return, and what to do with all the 95 month old parts, etc. Sigh

Never done a return and only 5k reserve. Does not sound right.

If you don't use it, each May GM gives you a credit for 75% of whatever was unused. So the guy wasn't completely throwing it away.

It's actually not that bad of an idea anyway because after they take all the discounts back and shipping fees they deduct from your return you don't get credit for 100% of your reserve anyway. When you take the 75%, you can keep all those parts you would have returned, sell them at a discount and quite possibly end up with more than your reserve. I think that's why you see things on OE Connection selling for 50% below cost.
