I did like the late cut off... but they changed that to SLP only and then we don't get the part the next day even when it is SLP if you order a few minutes before 4:00. So right now nothing.

They changed us from Charlotte (just over an hour south) to Martinsburg (5 hours north). Our cutoff time went from 5 pm to 3 pm.
The people in Martinsburg do a great job but I wonder how things will go whenever winter weather starts up.

So my answer is "no". :(

I started to say that yesterday," if you can't say anything good ,don't say anything at all." I was afraid nobody would comment anything, but just looking so far,not much good to say.

Let's see - Well you limited to a time frame of 'since the bankruptcy' so let me think...

Well I have a job. No that's not it, GM wanted to close the dealer I work for. He fought and won (???) staying open after spending HUGE to build.

Oh yea, my job. It isn't anything like before 2008. Before we had representatives that:
1 - Actually knew something
2 - Knew what the Policy and Procedures were and could help us work around them if necessary to do the 'right' thing
3 - Cared about dealerships and mutual customers - not just meeting sales quotas and goals
4 - Did something other than CYA and looking toward the next job

Back to my job - now I pretty much do what the rep did prior to 2008. So if GM hadn't changed I wouldn't have a job now. I think that's right, isn't it? I don't know, I used to be parts manager, now I am rarely in parts - have a fancy title - and find myself frustrated and half pissed off most of the time. So yea, I am better off, right?

I would really rather be a parts manager, back in the 'good old days' when we all still complained about something - else.

After all if you are old like me, there was plenty to complain about back then too. I look at it much like the prices of the new vehicles. The more expensive the vehicles become the more we feel we have a right to complain. THAT'S IT - the vehicles have actually gotten better. Maybe not on the styling but the quality is better - at least that is what they (GM) tell me, and I have learned to believe what they tell me. I have been to the well and I have drunk the Koolaid. And if you know what that means you too have been around a while.

See I told you I have been around GM a while. Look how much I can say (type) and not actually answer the question. One would think I could actually work for GM. Might as well apply, I do the job already. Probably over qualified for the job, considering the last couple DMAs - just kidding GM...

This may sound silly, but all the Recalls have brought in more new customers than any of the service quarterly mailers.Something for nothing always draws a crowd.

Have to agree with you Mike. The best thing GM has done for me is "retirement". Oh wait a minute, GM did NOT do that, My Dealer did, Never mind. So far it's been great though.
Had to get on here just long enough to be "politically incorrect" and wish you ALL a very Merry Christmas or Happy Chanuka (too your liking). NO "happy holidays" from this side of the fence. Best of the New Year to you all and hang in there, I'll leave the light on for ya!!!!

To GM
When greed overtakes common sense, it must be a living hell to have to look over your shoulder all the time. Looking will not help, your time WILL come.

to compliment Brave's post...

"If you see a line of people, get in it. They might be giving stuff away for free."
