So after seeing the bulletin on recall 14092 i guess we are placing orders for 10392423 and using the new order procedure.
Although i see there is a newer part number of 23215459.

No, there is no part number to order right now. The 10392423 is the old "BAD" part number.

this was posted in a different bulletin - forgot which one but I copied and pasted it earlier in this thread:

Upcoming Safety Recall 14092

Owners of 2008 and later model year vehicles will receive notification letters in the near future advising them that parts are not yet available for recall 14092. They will receive another letter when parts are available. Parts ordering instructions for the ignition switch for this recall (which is a different part number from the one listed above), will be forthcoming

still no info released by GM

Yea i made my orders and the went in, but changed to 23215459. Looks like it works.

The message i am talking about came out April 16 from Carolyn Cook on global connect.

So here's another question...what if I want to order some extra keys (20871320) or cylinders (20869121) so if we screw up cutting or coding we have some to bail us out? These numbers show to be on National Control now. Called SPAC and couldn't understand the person I was talking to as she didn't speak any semblance of English. Anyone have a solution to this problem?

No solution to be had there. Look at your return reserves, GM expects the Dealer to be 99+% correct on what they do. To bad GM does not even come close to that themselves!!!! Just make sure you are 100% correct on your coding, I am quite sure you will get paid for it. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered a lot of the keys before they went on National Control. I figured they would not be available with the amount of cars involved.

Anyone having trouble with orders canceling due to duplicated vin numbers? I have had a bunch of them and I know we may have accidently reused one or two of them but I think some of these are people that have been to other dealers and that dealer may have used the same vin. It has caused us more work as if we don;t have enough already.

Not I, but I did have one cancel yesterday because I forgot about the new ordering procedure and sent it without the VIN.
