It's a shame that it comes to this. I'm not getting into an argument or getting shot over cutting a key. I can play dumb like everybody else does

Don't you want your shinny new badge? We deserve one, they want us to be the Police.

Just made a woman mad. Not that I wouldn't cut her key, but because I told he that she was in trouble. Apparently my competitor across town, told her that they could cut her a key. I would love to know how they could cut her a key, when she stated to me that her ignition had been changed. It was a single key where one fits both the ignition and door is the same and she admitted that the ignition did not work the door! When I told her, that was a problem and tried to tell he why. She got mad! Then told me that my competitor didn't have the same problem. Well, either they did listen, you she didn't tell them the same thing.

Got an audit from a GM suit a couple months ago. Poopooed about proper documentation. Like we’re mentally handicapped, for lack of the more unacceptable term. In most cases, we are competent enough to ‘sniff out’ questionable requests. We reserve the right to decline.

After that, based on actual wording of whatever ‘official’ bulletin, as far as I’m concerned, we will now only ‘file’, locked up, a copy of the matching State ID and registration or title. An explanation in the comments field, in my opinion, is not necessary.

Key code access was requested. Proper ID, and proof of ownership was provided. The reason for request needs not be explained.

We no longer keep a print out of the key code access info with the ID and ownership info.

It’s actually a moot point as to what we ‘lock up’ anymore, because nowhere is the key code evident, except for the fact that the owner info and registration info is retained.
