Nothing here in west michigan. Heard many techs have gone home because work stopped coming into the doors from shops in the bigger cities.

Subject: PDCs Are Still Operating

The COVID-19 pandemic is creating unprecedented changes throughout the world and our industry. In regard to the recent announcement affecting the manufacturing side of GM’s business, the PDCs are open and operating. If there are any changes affecting CCA I will update you as soon as I have clear direction.
PS – I would consider stocking up on quick selling items in the service lane… Filters would be a good one to possibly stock up on.

Open in NEPA, albeit with a modified sales staff schedule and possibly service personnel soon as well. Our aftersales departments gross several hundred dollars per full time employee per day so unless the government is willing to reimburse the business something near that number per employee per day closed, I doubt we would be told to just go home. We stocked up on fast moving maintenance parts and increased some of our brake, recall and hard parts.

We cut back our parts and service hours beginning next week Monday 03/23. Our normal hours are Monday thru Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM along with Saturday 8:00 AM til 12:00 PM. Our new parts and service hours will be Monday thru Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and closed on Saturdays. Business has become terrible since early last week and before that we were always busy. I know our sale department is cutting bck also but no announcement on new hours yet. I am located in Minnesota.

What is the best way to stock up on some RIM parts and not get penalized by PASE? Order them DRO?

you wont get penalized on PASE for ordering. But if you order on DRO you will not be able to return the parts, as they will not be RIM protected, once you order them they are yours.
But if your ordering fast moving parts you shouldn't have to worry about returns.

The really dumb thing about this is you earn 1% return reserve on parts ordered CSO but nothing on DRO orders. You don't earn discounts on either one.

If we could only get away with treating our customers like GM treats us (their customers), we would have it made!
Go ahead and tell a $100k/year account that they can't return a part and let me know how that goes.....lol

On a positive note, I placed a QPO order for CPVP parts on Wednesday and it showed up yesterday.
Load up gents, this will be an interesting spring.
Stay healthy!
