They should be sending you a freight prepaid BOL and if not contact them. You should not be paying freight on the Takata return airbags!!!

I am curious about this as well. I contacted them through the email address provided and asked a series of questions. I received a canned type response that included a PDF that talks about preparing pallets for returns and an Excel form to fill out that gets emailed back so they can schedule the pickup. On the Excel form it asks how many driver and passenger side airbags/inflators per pallet. It doesn't say anything about pretensioners, however. Has anyone had luck returning pretensioners with the inflators...how did you list them on the sheet?

The only real reason they ask for how many drivers and passenger is so they can figure out the what the weight of the pallet will be for BOL

As far as i know they only take airbags no pretensioners, But if a few found their way on the pallet i guess the world would not end

this is the first that I am hearing of a $20 reimbursement. How is the $20 being reimbursed?
Is it applied on the warranty side, or are we paid through the parts billing according to the qty.returned?

* Submit a $20.00 administrative allowance for return of the used front passenger airbag inflator assembly (document preparation and packaging). Add this amount in the Administrative Allowance Net Item field when submitting the repair transaction.

This is a note listed after the labor ops on the recall instructions. I enter this in the net items field like I do with a cluster or radio only I credit my freight account 33F. It's funny that we make more profit sending the airbag back than we do selling it.

I sent an email to the address listed here and in the bulletins asking questions about returning them on 3/12. I received a response on 3/15 with a template to fill out and send back. I emailed the template back today at 12:16 pm and got a response from them with all the required paperwork at 1:53 pm saying that SAIA is scheduled to pick them up tomorrow.
