Ign. switch recall.

Was listening to a story on the radio on the way to work this morning, a relative to a person killed in 09 in a 06 Cobalt because of the ignition switch was saying she wished someone a GM would have listened. We still wish someone at GM that can change something would listen. So sad.

Reading all the horror stories about the dealers trying to obtain these, spending countless hours on the phone trying to get one at a time ordered, I'm wondering if Congress is aware, or would like to be made aware, of how difficult GM is making this on the people tasked with helping these people get their car repaired.

These switches need to be shipped in bulk to every dealer requesting them the second they become available. That's all they need to do. Making this so damn difficult is completely ridiculous

I remember "bulk" shipments on recalls. I am quite sure that is a no can do anymore. After all they might have to buy some back and we all know how big of a disaster that would be for GM. Some number cruncher would probably loose their job over that idea.

Ordered 2 today, they of course backordered. Went to the BO screen and the orders do not show up. I have answer backs saying they are BO, but I cannot make a spac case, should I wait until tomorrow or call SPAC?

Finally showed up on BO screen, but ..."15002: The system is not responding or not available! Please try again later." I need a drink. :?

I put in 4 more today. The first one took 11 tries. After that I only did the input ONCE for each. A hour later they all show SPAC cases. So just put them in once and wait.

I recall the days of no impact on your Return Reserve when returning un-used campaign parts, just file a 659 send it in and use, what code 12??, don't quote me on that, but GM would take them back. After all it was in their best interest to have the dealer's dollars invested in active inventory that would better serve the customer at the counter and in the drive, but wait that was the OLD GM. I will try to avoid additional flashbacks in the future.

Recall customers will get warranty surveys. Any GM Parts Manager that is still paid on CSI needs to re-negotiate their contract, quickly.
