2 years and 3 months in Parts, 5 months as Parts Manager

34 years here.
Started as delivery driver, stock boy and Parts Dept Janitor while attending night classes at the local University.
Upon graduation, decided to remain in this line of work because i enjoyed my job. (and most times, still do!)
25-26 years as Manager.

29 years in. Started as a detailer in early 1987, was conned to come in to parts that fall. "Bring a couple magazines to read, there is a lot of downtime"
I was with 2 GM dealers until 1999, leaving as the Mgr. Took a couple years 'off' to work not in parts. When that dried up I took a counter job at a CDJ store until something else came along, that was 2002....

28 1/2 years as parts mgr. for same dealer. Now have 22 days left till retirement. I've had enough.
