Recent autoMate update

Recently there was an update/change that effects the SOR file.
SOR received report is showing parts marked as received but with no date. The said parts are referred or back orders. When part does come in you have to clear the SOR and rebill/re verify the quantity.

What has been happing is the SOR is getting invoiced and the part that order was waiting for is on the invoice but not billed if the qty was not re entered.

Just wondering if other than some of us here not paying attention if there is something else we are missing. And what is the advantage to this change?

We haven't had any issues here. The only thing I can think of is that you have multiple parts on one SOR and you are still waiting on part(s) to make the order complete?

Yes and no. The orders are multiple SOR parts but it was holding SOR till last parts came in and when it came in billing order billed all. Now you have to reenter the qty of the referred part. Been a while but I think R&R was like that. Funny thing is it does not do it on all of them just some. I thought maybe it had to do with if customer was set up a deposit required or not but it is not.

I'll keep an eye out for it but we have not changed our receipting/charge out procedure and have not noticed anything different after the update.

Ok thanks. Even more suspect it's a system setting on our side.

Here is another weird thing. I had a factory part number that Automate did not recognize. Got one from Motorcraft supplier. Sold it as emergency purchase. Next day there is an open order in stock order with a strange order number for that part number.

This kind of thing is why current PM does not use stock order creation or sources. He just has us write down parts we sell from stock and reorders from that. There is a ton of open orders for parts we have gotten and sold so if he even did a stock order creation it would not be accurate. He keeps access to system limited so we can not even look to see what setting are. Phase in of parts is only if we beg to stock something. Phase out doesn't happen much as anytime you sell something he reorders it.
