State of Ohio Retail Warranty reimbursement

Last week we had a meeting with GM concerning retail reimbursement for warranty parts. We were advised at that time that there would be a $350 recovery fee (per new vehicle purchased) charged to the dealer if we were to opt for retail reimbursement. Checking around a bit since then I came across Senate bill 242 which specifically prohibits "retaliatory action against a franchisee based on any franchisee's exercise of its rights under this section." This law will go into effect on September 16, 2016 which is why I believe GM decided to address our concerns prior to that date. I am going to send an email off to OADA concerning these changes and ask for their opinion to the "threat" of "Recovery fees." If anyone else has a chance you may wish to look into all of this.
Thanks,
Gerry

We are cost plus 87% in mass. Be ready for the warranty audits and parts requests.
