Are you GM dealers parts department that are paid a percent of gross profit--paid on GOG ? acct 3243,ect?

Yes, in our store all parts sales go in the "pot" including tires and oil.

That being said, because tires and GOG have very low margins I am probably paying out most of my gross in commissions. That's offset by the back end 687 rebate money from GM that they are not paid on (my guys are all paid on sales, not gross). Bulk oil from GM gets 10%, and we are consistently in the 7-10% bracket on tires, plus the SLP 4.25% and VDI of 1.75%

Yes! All WARRANTY, INTERNAL, GOG & TIRE profits stay with the parts department (100%). The rest is SPLIT with service dept.
