Administrative Allowance Processing Changes Effective October 1, 2016

Applicable Administrative Allowances which currently are submitted in the labor field (i.e.: .2 labor hours) will now be submitted in the Net/Admin Allowance field of the transaction. Applicable bulletins and the Policies and Procedures Manual will be updated to reflect this. Allowances are as follows:
• Electronic component exchanges (through an ESC or BSC) - $20 in addition to current parts/handling allowances as per published bulletins or PIs
• Warranty Parts Center returns - Up to $20 (paperwork only) and up to $25 (part returns). Note: General Motors is one of the only manufacturers that provide for reimbursement of administrative expenses for the return of warranty parts
• Allowances which previously paid at .2 labor hours will now allow $20
• Allowances which previously paid at .3 labor hours will now allow $25

Thanks GM!!!

They are also the ones that make it the hardest to do.

GM sends you a Warranty Unit for $0 (so you make $0 mark up on the part), but will charge you $1,500 if the core is never return in 30 days. Thanks for the 20 Bucks!
