JOURNEYS program question

Postby cain555 » Tue Oct 04, 2016 4:17 pm

We just got our first GM bill for $1,000 for this program. Never recall paying this before unless you win. Are the rest of you getting billed for it? THanks!

Your GM Service/Parts rep is HEAVILY pressured into enrolling Dealers. The reps are incentivized with EarnPower bribes to get this done.

Like any other Gov'ment program, it only works if everyone's on it, and similarly GM pays a 3rd-party admin company huge bucks to run this, that's what the $1000 is for.

The 1099 tax bill you get at the end of the year includes the trips for the reps that win too. It's a business trip to them, so GM add the cost of their trips to yours.

You're welcome.

So are you all hitting parts with this or expensing it for the store? Not sure if this is just a program for parts managers only?

Parts and service managers are enrolled together for the $1000. I would 70 or 71Z that.

Our owner did not know anything about this , as far as signing up for it. I don't really know who to call to cancel it, our rep probably won't help

I believe there was no sign up period this year. I seem to remember seeing something about if you were in it last year, you were
AUTOMATICALLY signed up, unless you decided to opt out.

So who do you call to opt out?
