We were thinking these leads might affect our lead closing ratio, so we sent it to GM Digital Solutions. They have blocked the IP address and are working towards a permanent solution.

My favorite is the faxed request for 215 Spark plugs for a V8 or 9 rear shocks for an Escalade. Need them shipped to New York (We are in CA).

NEW ONE CAME IN TODAY FROM A JAMES ALLEN. WANTS 5 CADILLAC SHOCKS AND GIVES AVIN THAT DOESNT MATCH THE PART. LIVES 1000 MILES FROM OUR DEALERSHIP AND WONT TALK ON THE PHONE BECAUSE HE'S "DEAF".....

Years back I was getting these same emails along with faxes as I am sure all of you did also. One guy wanted 5000 spark plugs, and 200 sets of brake pads. My Dealer Principle thought it was legit and wanted me to reply to him, I explained it was a credit card scam and he said do it anyway. So I priced the plugs out at $200 each, and pad kits out at $1000 each and added in $15,000 in shipping. He still wanted it. As you would expect. BUT the saving grace was the DP received a fax from a company called Dealers Edge giving tips, and what was part of one of those tips? The exact request that we received and this little website we call home to said it was a scam and he FINALLY believed me.. Sorry for the long story..
