Anyone using OEC to sell on EBay?

Just curious if anyone out there is using oec to list there inventory on eBay and if so how is it working out. Trying to decide if $100 a month is going to be worth it for us

Don't waste your time. I did it for almost a year.
1 the big hitting dealers sell at cost with free shipping
2 to many returns
3 scammers on eBay that eBay sides with.

Even if it was free it's more of a headache to deal with.
Plus 100 turns into 100 plus selling fees plus PayPal gets a cut of each transaction.

I gave up on it too. It was time consuming and a problem for out office to deal with.

Why wouldn't you want to list your Idle/Obsolete parts on eBay? Sell them, get the cash, and move on. List just the stuff you're OK with taking a loss on. And it shouldn't be hard on accounting - it's just a paypal account.

It does sound good but there are other concerns in play. Our office is sometimes difficult to work with. The shipping was killing me and the owner expected me to make some kind of profit. I went with the idea of only selling obsolete parts and trying to break even at best. We are a small store and we do not have ups or fedex ground pickup. The office ships fedex each day but that's ovn. They have to print my ground shipment labels and
I need to call for a pick up.
It was just a headache but not all oec's fault. It just didn't work out at this store.

I don't use OEC, but I do list idle inventory on Ebay.

My previous manager left me with around 150k in idle/obsolete inventory, of our total $350k. I have since sold roughly 80-90k on ebay, but still have roughly 100k in idle inventory due to the fact that our system considers it idle after 2 years, and I'm still getting new idle inventory added to it everyday. I figure it will take me roughly 5 years to truly get the inventory and obsolete parts under control.

As far as how I do it, we have a paypal account. I created a parts customer "Sold on Ebay", so anything I list I bill to "sold on ebay", I then go into paypal, print where the item has been paid, and transfer that money to our bank account. I then write the invoice number and give it to the girls in accounting to match up the money received with the parts counter ticket.
