AGAIN....... I am trying to find out information on the parts for recall 43180 fuel pump and tube. At first they were sending them FED X overnight from MI (15 separate packages)

and then it dried up. I have waited patiently for some kind of info to tell our advisors so they can tell the customer when to expect repairs. I am not looking for an ETA of 7:53 AM Wednesday morning but I don't know if it will be next week, next month, or next year. I thought after the survey that GM would get the hint that we need better communication on recall ETA. You can't tell me that no one in GM knows approximately how many they will need and how many that the supplier is producing today, shipping out today and how many are in transit, and for that matter where they are on the hi-way......... If you call SPAC there is a recording telling you that the agents cannot give us any info. SO WHO DO WE CALL ????? They just don't understand that customers want to KNOW when there car might be fixed. Especially customers of today.

" I thought after the survey that GM would get the hint that we need better communication on recall ETA." Your FIRST mistake. GM doesn't care.
" You can't tell me that no one in GM knows approximately how many they will need and how many that the supplier is producing today " Your SECOND mistake. GM doesn't care.
" They just don't understand that customers want to KNOW when there car might be fixed." Your THIRD mistake. GM doesn't care.
Notice a theme here?

A nice thing about this forum is that it's public so the public can actually see what type of issues dealerships have to deal with.
If only this forum was more well known to the public............or perhaps something like "60 minutes" or the like......
Sure would make an interesting segment

I've been getting them somewhat regularly, but I can only order one per order and must follow up with a spac case.

We had parts ordered for a car with this open recall first of January. Parts came in late January, scheduled customer, performed recall. Warranty clerk went to submit and it was rejected, turns out the recall was closed in the meantime. Any one else have this happen?

WE HAD THE SAME THING HAPPEN. IF THE CAR HAD PISTONS OR TIMING CHAINS INSTALLED AND IF THEY PUT A PUMP ON IT AT THAT TIME THEY WHEN THROUGH AND MANUAL CLOSED THE RECALL ON THAT UNIT. SO WE HAVE ABOUT 5 EXTRA PUMPS NOW.

AS REPS THAT ARE SELLING A PRODUCT(GM PARTS) WE SHOULD NEVER DIVULGE THE TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS OF THE WORKINGS/NON WORKINGS OF OUR FINE COPMPANY(GM). THATS BAD ADVERTISING. EVERY MANUFACTURE HAS THEIR PROBLEMS. OUR JOB IS TO SHOW HOW GOOD OUR PRODUCT IS . MORE SALES THAT WAY. "JUST SAYING"

Sorry........ We might as well shut down the DFOAB and don't say anything about the problems they have and just suck it up. I am held to a standard every day with my customers and I think perhaps GM should also. If the only thing I can bring up is the positives then I guess no one will learn anything. GM is a great company that in my almost 40 years has done great things and made some great products...but.......it is sure difficult some times. Was that to harsh???

How many of you get that customer that says their car should be recalled because they found a forum on the internet that has a bunch of cars with the same problem. All I am saying is that the discussion should never leave this forum. If someone wants to be a watchdog then they should not be a salesman (parts, service or sales). Remember we have a product and an image to uphold. How many Corvairs were sold after Nader lied about the car.
