Anyone else have Lanter Delivery systems?

Postby Bearster18 » Tue Dec 13, 2016 6:34 pm

If so please just let me know your horror stories with them. I'm beyond angry with them. The office staff is amazing and do the best they can to help me but their drivers constantly break parts, lose parts, leave parts at other dealers. It's not a here and there deal . This crap is constant!!!! Who else has them and has issues?

They are HORRIBLE! Lost parts daily. The newest trick for them is lost paperwork. I have not received packing slips for two straight deliveries.
Heck they have even lost full totes also lost an envelope with return labels not once but twice! PDC had to FedEx me the third printing.

We have them in the Northeast. They are beyond terrible. We were getting tons of damaged sheet metal, then I walked outside one day while the driver was "unloading" by pushing all the sheet metal off the truck, literally.
And sometimes (every other week  ) one of our totes always ends up being at another dealer over an hour away.

I was switched to Lanter about 5 years ago. The first 3 of which we deplorable. Had a meeting with GM and Lanter managers over the horrid service. It came to a head when a driver wadded up my return paperwork and threw into a tote. The Lanter officials blamed it on rain. Funny, we had no rain, didn't know water could shape paper into a ball, and put said ball in a completely dry tote. After that meeting, service has been much better. I do have the Lanter regional manager on speed dial and when I call, he does jump through hoops now.

They still have the occasional sh!t show. They often have to go get a box truck for my returns. Most of their deliveries are done by van or pick up with a shell on it. Just last month, when the driver did have a box truck, he forgot to close the door on the back and littered the highway with my parts. Sadly, this is what GM gives its best customers.

We have them. They usually do a great job. there was a few months when our driver was off due to back surgery that the replacement was horrible (leaving parts at other dealers, not arriving until 3:30pm, driving into our overhead door). Yeah, I don't miss the replacement driver

Came in earlier this week to a hole in the wall outside my office. Called Lanter, they said are you sure we did it? Pretty sure, I was the last one out, and the forklift is not facing the way I left it last night. Do you have security cameras in the area? as a matter of fact I do, let me get the owner to review the tape.....the driver hit everything but the PACE CAR! They are no longer allowed to use our forklift.

We had them about 4 years ago, at my last dealer. Their driver tore down some power lines across our lot when leaving, one Saturday afternoon. Our owner tried for days to get someone to return his call, and was furious. He got things resolved many months later, however, we heard a lot of complaints on our bi-annual conference call with the local PDC. There may even be old photos of actual devastation, in this forum, from years ago. Thankfully, back to DLI at that dealer, and this one.

We also have Lanter and have had problems forever. It's been better lately but they change drivers like most people change underwear. Whenever a new driver comes on.... the problems all start again. the worst part is GM doesn't care.
