BUYERS BEWARE

IF YOU THOUGHT YOUR LOCAL DELCO SUPPLIER (ROWERDINK) IS CHARGING JUST COST , THINK AGAIN. SOME PARTS ARE 10% OVER. IT SEEMS LIKE THEY ARE MOVING TOWARD CHARGING MORE TO THE DEALER THAN THE INDEPENDENT THAT THEY HAVE STOLEN FROM YOU. NO BULLETIN WAS HANDED OUT. NO INDICATOR ON THE WEBSITE. AS FAR AS I HAVE BEEN TOLD IT IS A "PRICING PARODY".WTF DOES THAT MEAN. I KNOW THAT THEY PURCHASE NON DELCO FROM A GM DEALER THAN CHARGE 10% OVER. JUST WATCH YOUR NUMBERS.

You may want to go back and check all of your invoices since SLP came online. My DELCO distributor changed pricing for me at its onset...10% over cost. I have accounted for it ever since.

It's called price parity; and GM is lifting that on a lot of parts, so the ACD guys have to mark them up to make money. Would you stock a part to sell for 0 profit, and have to deliver it? I wouldn't, and neither would most of you. Face facts, GM does NOT want us to buy parts from the ACD network, that is set-up to steal our mechanical wholesale business. In case you haven't figured it out, GM cares about GM making profit - they don't give a fig about the dealers, the ACD wholesalers, or the end user of their products.

Both of our Delco distributors cut all discounts and incentives in May of 2013, just after the SLP program was implemented. I understand it from their point of view. GM was rough on the distributors as well, I'm told.

Same here.

I've seen a handful of parts we've purchased at cost +7% too.

My WD is now just another necessary evil thanks to the SLP program.
