New here again on these subjects, but getting there. What do you use for customer reference # on submitting and is your admin PDC just your local one? Thanks!

I just use the order number as my reference; it is for YOUR reference, so you can assign a claim number or any way to tie the credit back in your system. Yeah .. youe "admin PDC" is your facing PDC .... where most of your orders come from.

I used to go around and search for the line # and then I realized a few months back that it doesn't even matter. When you're in the clunky "submit customer exceptions" screen, if you enter the part number and the shipment number it will miraculously find the line # and let you proceed with filling out the claim. In answer to your question though, if it's a single-line direct ship part, it's obviously line number 1. Hope this helps !!

My application numbers are: The first 3 numbers are the last 3 of the current year, the next three numbers are the julian day number, and the last number is the chronologic number of the claim. So, for example, the FIRST claim I placed today was # 0170541. The Second was 0170542. Yesterday's numbers were 0170531, 0170532, etc. Makes it easier to track the claims on Global DisConnect, not that it is remotely easy to track claims on Global DisConnect.

I keep a notepad with a list of numbers in order that I use with a brief description of what the ret is. The point being a guess is find the system that works for you.
