Anyone else see this ?

Please review the attachments immediately. One announces a ONE-DAY-ONLY Northeast Region incentive. The second attachment lists the SLP parts you’ve currently excluded either temporarily or permanently.

For any Service Lane Part you’ve currently either temporarily or permanently excluded from RIM control that you RELEASE TO RIM CONTROL TODAY, we’re offering a 5% discount on any part RIM orders invoiced and shipped between April 26-30, 2017 as a result of the release. This is in addition to the 1% on-invoice discount and 1% return reserve you’d normally get on SLPs ordered via RIM-DRO. And of course, if RIM orders the part and puts it in inventory, it’s RIM-protected against 15-month no-sale.

Please review this immediately and make any desired changes IMMEDIATELY (please see the timeline in the incentive bulletin attached). Only part numbers you release TODAY that you approve tomorrow and that are ordered and invoiced between April 26-30, 2017 will qualify for this 5% bonus .

Yes even got a call from my DMA even though I have been waiting over a year for an issue to be cleared up.
Funny they brag about their record year in vehicle sales yet they are all over us to purchase more parts!

Pathetic! First an email, then a phone call from the DMA.
I told him there's a valid reason for not wanting the garbage they're stuck with.
Why don't they just remove the State Code 01 status from all the parts they won't let RIM manage that we actually do need?

Prior to this my DMA had requested an email with an explanation (for each part #) of why I wasn't stocking all of these one hit wonders.

If you don't understand why I don't want to stock a part with one sale in 12 months, you shouldn't be allowed to ask the question.

Don't do it!! They did us in the SE region that way last spring and it took forever to get fixed, every dealer went out of RIM compliance, and it was a disaster!! All for a less than $100 discount total....no thanks!

GM WILL NEVER GET IT WILL THEY ?????????????????????
When my DMA pitched that to me I responded the same way you all did.
Why in the HELL would I do that? They're all excluded for a reason.
Then I asked..........................
Would you spend $200,000 on 4,000 pairs of shoes that you only wore each pair once a year?
That ended the sales pitch.
