REYNOLDS IGNITE

REYNOLDS IGNITE

Postby queenbee » Mon May 08, 2017 3:03 pm

Is anybody on Reynolds Ignite? We switched from CDK to Ignite two weeks ago and it has not exactly gone smoothly. I have a lot of questions that I haven't gotten answers to from the team that was here. If anybody wouldn't mind me picking their brain, I would really appreciate it! Thanks.

okay ... hit me, Queenbee. We are on Reynolds, I've been a "blue screen" guy for many years, but have been forcing myself to familiarize with the Ignite functions because our company THINKS that they're gonna switch over completely to Ignite to make it easier on the accounting dept.

Are you a GM dealer? Some of my questions are pretty specific to GM parts.
Here a couple generic questions we've run into:
A. Do you know how to search authorized purchase orders without the purchase order number? For instance, I am trying to figure out who we bought a part from last week but since the PO is authorized, searching by part number yields no results.
B. In the Dashboard, looking at open invoices less than 8 days old, we have a lot of backorder invoices. None of them have any parts sold on them (parts are still on order). Some show a dollar amount, some don't. Have you encountered that? Our trainers couldn't give me an explanation. She said the dashboard was the best way to review open invoices but without going into each one, it doesn't seem to be helpful. We are a pretty large store doing a lot of wholesale deliveries so we have about 100 open invoices at any given moment.
thanks for even attempting to help me :)

We ARE a GM dealer, queenbee. You can't search PO's by part number in that fashion. You can select "open" or "received" or "authorized" in the drop-down at the top of the search window, and then sort by date and click the hyperlink on the one that you suspect it is that you are looking for, to get it to open and see more information. You can also sort by vendor in the results window.
As for the question on open invoices ... what exactly are you trying to get it to do? Yes, it will show invoices with 00.00, and we have special order invoices like that also. I suspect that we could build you a report for what you're looking for in Dynamic Reporting (very powerful tool) or it may be one like the "invoice register" that is in your reports tab.
Hope this helps. You can also message me directly.

the weird thing about the backorder invoices is some show $0 and some show the total $ as if the parts are sold on the invoice, but when I go into the invoice I can see that they aren't sold yet. what I'm trying to do is figure out the best way to see, without going into every single one, which invoices got forgotten about by the counterman that generated it. If it's a zero dollar invoice, I can ignore it. But if there's money on there, half the time the counterman forgot to print it to get it delivered or he meant to void it and I have to remind him to go take a look. ADP's fastlane had a beautiful open invoice report that could be sorted and filtered several ways to make it really easy for me. I'm waiting for Reynolds to build all of our dynamic reports but in the meantime I figured I'd ask for some help on here.

just tell Reynolds that you want a "parts on open invoices" report in Dynamic Reporting if you are having them create the reports. Or, I can send you the specs so that you can set it up yourself. I just made my own and that way I can tailor it to do what I want. Dynamic reporting is like the Report Generator, all grown-up this time!! 8-)
