What is with all the Programs?

It seems everyday my email is filled with another (1,2,3..) program from GM. Everything from "Lucky7" to obscure / rarely used body shop programs.

How are you (other GM dealers) keeping all these programs straight?

It is becoming incredibly difficult to determine which, if any, benefit us. We have a DMC (district manager combined) and he is new and not up-to-speed at all on the parts and service side.

Not knowing what to do...

Seriously, imagine the amount of money they would save if they eliminated some of the departments that come up with all of these programs. I can not imagine that any of the DMA's understand all of these programs, let alone come in and explain them correctly to us.

They do not want us to know what we're doing, so they can rob us blind. When we do finally figure out the system, they will scrap it and come out with something else new

It's called "Baffle them with BS". Used to be "Dazzle them with diamonds" but GM has gotten so greedy since the bankruptcy that they don't give a damn if anyone makes any money, besides them, of course.
