Question about PASE

Question about PASE

Postby Ichabod Farquar » Tue Dec 26, 2017 9:06 pm

I have been looking at what little information is available (in writing) about PASE and I need some clarification from those of you that understand it.

1 - We have not signed-up for the uplevel OSS integration that would have paid us the "conformance" money for Essential Service Elements (ESE). It just didn't make sense for us to send $418.64 per month to CDK for the POTENTIAL to earn back $500 from GM.

2 - Since we have not yet done item number one we cannot qualify for the 40% "conformance" money for PASE. Of course - ASSUMING - we hit all other "conformance" flaming / burning hoops to jump through.

3 - We have a problem with the "performance" side of PASE. And this is where I need to be certain I understand. We have recently - November 1 - shut down our body shop. If we could find someone to run it and techs to work it in we may reopen. However, with each passing day it looks more and more less likely to reopen. Therefore, we stand no chance of hitting any Year Over Year objective. Furthermore, the way I understand the rolling three months it will be January of 2019 before we are out of the body shop issue and have actual objectives we may be able to hit.

With the above issues do any of you see any reason why we should sign up with CDK for OSS integration? Of course there is always the customers who may use OSS but we don't have many (read less than 5) customers per month that use OSS.

What am I missing?

We are a small store, as we sat down with our rep it became clear that this program was not going to help us at all. There are several processes we will not participate in. The rep told our owner that the parts "metrics" are being attained but not so with service and that will cost parts.

Ichabod,
If you guys have consistently hit the qualifiers for the 2016 (loyalty, etc.), yet are facing a serious decline in sales this year, I would have to believe you would want to try to hit he "conformance" (40%) portion of this program. It looks like that is the only way you will retain any discounts in the upcoming year. Does your service department do MPVI's with walk-arounds in the service lane? If so, the OSS integration is pretty nice in that the appointments (even the ones set by your service advisors) will feed over to begin the MPVI process. By the way, it is my understanding that there is supposed to be a "set" price by CDK of $249 per month and $924 install (the install fee is reimbursable using Service Lane funds.) Also, unless you guys are already on and use Service Edge I would just get the OSS integration.
Thanks,
Gerry
