BACKORDERS

What the hell is with all the backorders???? I feel like a seal at the circus juggling beach balls on my nose. I’m not talking about 2018 Equinox headlamps or body side panels or the numerous 2017 and 2018 parts you can’t get. Availability of new model parts SUCKS I know. I’m talking about seals, gaskets, orings, and common parts that we sell 3 or 4 per week. RIM orders and I upgrade and there isn’t a PDC in the NATION that has any………. What gives? Each PDC had or should have hundreds of some of these parts on their shelves. GM must be having problems with suppliers again or maybe it’s a new philosophy on how to stock and sell parts. Great , a new program coming to your dealership soon. Get ready to be enhanced again.

I have to agree, trans cooler lines EVERY year between Nov. and March sales go up but does GM stock more F^CK NO. :x :x :x
I have had to call SPAC more this month than the last 6 months combined to find out where in the hell my parts are. Last call I asked when the fascia I ordered 5 days ago might be in (global showed it was to be delivered yesterday) she told me " you can't file a claim until Wednesday" I don't want to file a damn claim I want to know when the part will be here. :x :x :x :x :x
I could go on but you all know how worthless GM is no reason to go on.
RANT OVER

Have a great weekend!!!

The current state of GM parts is very disturbing. I am in the same boat with waiting for parts, too many back orders to mention. We also are waiting for parts that they can not tell us when we will receive them. Fascia out of Canada with no good tracking information, reordered a second one and got it in 2 days, been waiting 11 days for the original. We are a small fish I can only imagine what the big fish are dealing with, need a dedicated claim specialist just for parts claims.

Same situation in Canada. Too many backorders and too many lost orders

Is it possible, the suppliers are getting that "great GM feeling" as well? Are they being paid like our claims/reimbursements; scratching tooth and nail for legitimate pay? Is GM having their partner agreements constructed to be in charge of changing quality control, not to mention functional, efficient processes that have been in place for decades? Pitiful.

Last two fascias I ordered from GM took 8 business days to get here. I usually order these from a wholesaling dealer because you never know when you will get them from GM. My understanding is they are shipped to the cross dock and sit there until they get around to unloading the trailer. When your customer(THE BODY SHOP) is under the gun because their customer is in a rental car it is hard to say the part will get here when they get around to unloading the trailer. Global's tracking sucks.

You just can’t make this s^%t up…………. I had a 12591866 rear main seal on a CSO order and some on RIM orders for stock. I put the CSO order in on Friday 1/26 at noon. I upgraded to a SPAC case immediately. It started its 1st search and two hours later no results. It didn’t start the 2nd search until 8:00 am Monday 1/29. I started calling dealers to see if someone would help me out. I found one who would ship one. I called SPAC and told them I needed a manual sprint on a part and that I called some dealers and found one that would ship it. The agent says, I’m sorry all I can do is escalate it to a watch list because it is going through its 2nd search. I wanted to say bulls^&t, but I held back and said that can’t be because it has been searching since last Friday and I need to hurry before I lose it. I hung up and waited till the afternoon. Same thing it’s still searching and the agent says we could put it on a watch list. I repeated myself that it’s been searching blah blah……… The agent said they don’t control it and I would have to call OEConnection. Ahh F#*k. I called them and the agent said it wasn’t searching anymore. Really……… I asked if he had a case number or something because I knew SPAC wasn’t going to believe me. NO. I called SPAC and was talking to the fourth different agent and guess what. I’m sorry but this order is still searching and all I can do is escalate it to a watch list. I calmly asked to talk to a supervisor numerous times and all I got was the same canned response. I then said, not so calmly, you’re not going to let me talk to a supervisor, are you. After 10 minutes on hold she came back with the same friggin response. I GIVE….UNCLE……….PLEASE STOP . I then said something that I never said (thought it a few times) but never said. I don’t care because my car runs just fine……..
Again…….. Whats up with all the backorders????

I usually try to say something constructive in this forum, but in this case, "You've been Enhanced!"
