Do any of you GM people out there use the durapack oil filter part numbers and if so is there an ordering guide and how do you sell it. Thanks in advance.

I sell the duapack unboxed filters for the popular numbers. I just ordered some in and then added them to rim. I dropped the boxed filters from rim. I don't sell enough over the counter to warrant the more expensive boxed filter. I have a set price that I sell my oil filters for in the shop so the lower cost helps bottom line. I also stock the durapack air filter for full size pu, Colorado and Malibu. Good prices on those. Now that they are putting them in bags instead of boxes I guess it makes no difference. I also stock the less expensive A/C delco cabin filters. Big savings on those. I have not had a problem with warranty accepting the durapack part numbers on claims.

How do you drop the box numbers from rim or does it automatically do that for you because you are ordering the durapack instead of the oem boxed filters?

Also is there any ordering guide with part numbers and how do you order them. QPO, DRO etc?

We use the Dura Pack filters for almost everyone vehicle. The boxed filters drop off RIM after they haven't sold within the RIM parameters.

I let RIM order the durapack numbers and the OE numbers dropped off the list due to low activity. For some reason though, 19330001 durapack PF63 has to be manualy ordered, RIM is not picking that number up for me, but all the others come in like clockwork. Also I use the durapack part number VS. the OE number, however sometimes the OE number gets billed out by mistake and it causes me to need to make inventory adjustments and will also cause the OE number to come back on your RIM list because you show a sale on that number.

I just go into rim and permanently exclude the numbers I don't want to stock anymore otherwise rim will continue to replenish. I just usually order them first on a DRO and once the are established on rim I let it do its thing. I haven't done a filter QPO since the stopped the bulk discounts. Basically I just look up a vehicle for an existing filter I have and go to the group and use the part number listed under professional. Just a side note I use 19314023 for my air filter for all 2000 and up gas engine trucks. It will have glue strips on the pleats. You will have to order that number manually and don't put on rim because there is a number it supersedes 19254695 that still has stock. But those do not have glue strips so you can't use them on all applications.

bluepart have you checked rim under select individual part number proposal for 19330001 to see if you may have excluded it by accident? Mine come in like clockwork.
