IDEAS, PLEASE!
19354155 Ventvisor set (tape-on type) has one piece that is not fitting properly. Is anyone else having trouble with installation of the LEFT FRONT visor? I looked at both the Acadia and Traverse vehicles in an attempt to justify trimming about an 1/8" off the front of this piece to make it fit, but have not had the guts to try it yet. The mirror trim has a 90 degree protrusion which does not allow this extra bit of material to slip behind it, and I am not ballsy enough to try to trim that either. (I have a customer, who is in his 80s and purchasing this over the counter; bless his heart, he is not comfortable trimming it either.)
Lund sent me a replacement set, with a date code one year newer, still the same fit. The forum won't let me post the pic file of 12M. Are any of your techs modifying this part, and if so how? I don't want it to splinter or crack. As expensive as these are, I don't feel we (the customer and dealer personnel) should have to modify it to begin with.
Thanks for the input, in advance.

I failed to mention:
I have tried 2 sets from ADI and 2 sets from LUND. Lund sent sets with a year newer date code.

Have not tried tape on yet but can tell you the Equinox in channel do not fit worth a damn. One set from ADI one from Lund both fell off the first time you roll up the window.

We had the same problem with 2018 equinox shades

It amazes me how this stuff happens. All of the people that are involved in setting up accessories and approving them for sale and we end up with stuff like this. Truly amazing to me. Must be the same people GM uses as packaging engineers.

Lund asked me to push the visor further behind the mirror. Of course that leaves a nice gap for wind noise and water intrusion  My customer is going to try to modify it and make it work.
I can understand the expense of re-tooling the dies that mold this shade. But to add trimming to the process of production should only add mere seconds to the process.

TBH we won't/don't sell the GM ventvisors anymore. There's just too many problems with all of them, and not worth the hassle.
