Vehicle Certification Label

Vehicle Certification Label

Postby PartsPlant81 » Thu Apr 05, 2018 4:22 pm

Has anybody ever ordered a Vehicle Certification Label?
I have a great customer with a '05 Bonneville he buys all of his GM parts from us and I want to take care of this for him.
Catalog listing doesn't give a part # but says in the note (Available through your GM divisional zone office).
Thanks in advance for any info.

If this the sticker label with the VIN on it, you'll need to take pictures on the car, the in window vin, the tire label placard, the missing sticker, i remember i found it through here.

Call 888-414-6322 GM DBC. Option 3 I think.

there was also a online option to do it, it required you to place an order with a certain part number and then place the second order through them, it was a stupid cycle, off screens and phone calls.

From the website:

This form is step 2 in the process. The first step is to place an order for part #10284728 in the Genuine GM parts system.
In order to fulfill the order, 3 different pictures need to be supplied.
They Need to be readable and show complete Cert decal.
This form must be filled out and pictures attached before the order can be fulfilled.

NOTE: If you don’t have complete and readable Certification label with pictures, Contact “Dealer Business Center” at 1-888-414-6322 for US and “Customer Care Center” at 1-800-561-4515 for Canada.

I've done it one time. It works ok. A little bit of a PIA.
Did anyone notice that dealer cost for the 10284728 label is $79.95??!?! :o  :?

My guess: GM partnered with Duramark Technologies to make these things without negotiating a price. Then they pass along their exorbitant price to the dealers. Then we have to tell our customers and get yelled at.

Bonus points: According to their website, Duramark was GM's "Suppiler Of The Year" for 2016.
You just can't make this stuff up.

Certainly nothing to be proud of, much less admit out loud
