I have never been on GM's Bulk oil program. Could always beat the price buying from a loyal local supplier, but to meet the PASE qualifiers I am going to be strongarmed into GM's Bulk Oil program. Just looking for some good tips on what to do to get signed-up and what to avoid or look for. What is option 1 vs option 2 ? Thanks

Option 1 you get 10% discount, 5% return reserve and $1 per gallon IMR funds. Option 2 you get a cheaper price and none of what I just mentioned. I like the option 1 because I put the 10% back to 687 and the extra reserve helps.

That's what I do also.

What do you have to do to change which option you use?

Looks like we're going to HAVE TO change over to GM Bulk oil to be on PASE terms and avoid the 10% hit on what we pay for CSO for our customers and continue to have RIM inventory protection. Too much to loose by not doing it. It is a pure shame and disgrace that in a country of free enterprise we have companies like this . We have bought our oil products from a local distributor in the same county for many years at a price that we could make some money, be fair to our customers and is Dexos Branded .They have bought GM vehicles from us and service their vehicles here. I have tried to figure out a way to get the Sales Loyalty Report to show compliance, but the unrecognizable part numbers for oil that we use is killing me on the report. So now I will have to tell a good friend and customer that would look after us that we will no longer need their services and we will be purchasing oil from a ..... Have to play by the rules, but the rules keep changing in their favor. :(

We have the same issue, but we have always bought quarts from GM for warranty oil changes and I've added Diesel oil to that and so far it's raised us above the 85 percent number. Also if something has to be after market (such as discontinued from GM) we put it on a counter ticket instead of the RO. So far we are at 88 percent for the month.
