Just received an order answerback from GM for part# 84243590 condenser.
It shows it being replaced by 84537373 and backordered (imagine that). GlobalConnect says this too but shows 84537373 changing to 84496856. also "no stock available".
Then I get another answerback for the same order saying 84243590 is replaced by 84429642 with stock available. GlobalConnect knows nothing about this change.
WTF, GM?

Now that you mention it, we received 2 of this number last week ourselves.
They'll probably change it back next week.
Who knows? This is GM we're talking about.

Bonus GM points: 84429642 is "not eligible for RIM management."

These are now NOT service lane and can NOT be done as overnight. Way to piss people off GM...............SMART.................

Yes this is as a result of a complicated connection chain of part numbers that is below. I am currently working with the catalog group to get this to show more clearly for the dealers. But in short, depending on availability of the part the dealer can receive any parts in this chain until there is no stock left available and then only PN 84496856 will be used. Sorry about all of this mess, we didn’t realize how this would affect the catalog but we are working on a clearer solution now.

This condenser issue has been going on for over a year. I know it shouldn't, but it does amaze me that this is still an issue. Just another fun day of chasing our tails trying to make a customer happy.

And, just like last year, It's right as we're going into the A/C season.
