I know this is a stupid question, but does GM still offer a "Tracs 2000 type" option to place orders?? Being told by my Service Director there is but I don't believe him.

No they did away with TRACS because their web based order system is so reliable TRACS was just a waste of money.

The only time I am able to fax an order to the PDC is if there was a system issue on our end or GM's. Doesn't happen often so that is a good thing.

Thanks folks. That's what I thought, but I have an overzealous new Service Director who feels he knows more then everyone else.. Guess the guy who has been around this business for 35 years knows just a bit more..

TRACS was a good thing..............way back then. So was my beeper too. Tell him we have evolved.

Just curious, does GM still have parts guys and gals in dealerships that they use strictly for SPRINTing orders out? I used to do that for awhile. Would start at 4:00 in the morning and work a list of part#'s a mile long.

You may want to make him aware that cars no longer have running boards either.

There are still dealers that have people strictly selling parts to SPRINT
