Canceling lines on a control order

Canceling lines on a control order

Postby LOWAIRD1964 » Thu Jan 31, 2019 9:07 pm

Hey guys maybe I am losing it but I thought for sure that I have done this before where I called spac and had them cancel a single line on an order. Today when I called they said no we never could do that. They can only cancel the whole order. Maybe in the past I was just canceling a 1 line order???

Yeah I know I have called GM-spac in the past and they were able to cancel a line for me. When I called yesterday they said " its always been like this, you could never just cancel 1 part on an order?

In the past, I too have been told that the whole order needed to be cancelled. It is my understanding that the only way they can successfully cancel one line, is if that one line writes to a different facility.

I haven't had to in a long time but when I did in the past they always told me everything on the particular control # would be cancelled and I would have to re-order everything except what I wanted to cancel.

It's an all or nothing situation with SPAC on this, cancel the entire order unless it writes to another facility in this case sometimes it can be canceled. I've had them say it's been canceled and it show up too so hit or miss if it writes to another facility.

Depending on the situation, the PDC liaison may be able to cancel lines, but only ones pulled from their depot. Anything referred, SPAC has always tried to cancel for us.
