Oil Change Pricing

I know I have asked this question here before. We have tried several different ways of billing an oil change - all in an effort to make it easy for us to bill and easy for a customer to understand. However, we continue to struggle with the exceptions and GM simply will not help us out.

Good example: The different color cap - driving a much more expensive oil filter on Buick Encores (and other 1.4 turbo engines), hybrids, high performance, etc. etc. It is easy to exempt high performance vehicles but the relatively expensive filter on the 1.4 turbo engines is causing us problems.

How are you GM guys billing this service? We are using CDK Drive software.

I would like to hear how this is solved at other stores.
