I know I am posting this on the PM forum, but this gets more traffic and a lot of times the PM knows more about the DMS.

GM now requires repair order shows the discount for My GM Rewards. Does anyone know how to make CDK do this in a way that the office can then "marry" up the credit to.

I've done all 3 of mine on parts invoices so far with no issues that I'm aware of

Charge the $100 to new car advertising. Send copy of voucher to whoever does the BARS statement. Have them credit 65A.

The reasons I asked this question are:

1 - I have been told that GM will begin electronic audits of the rewards program sometime later this year. Since the audit is electronic the document needs to show the discount, using "Proper Accounting", or GM won't see the reward given to the customer. If GM can't see the reward, they assume reward not issued to the customer. Dealer will receive attention (ie - audit).

2 - Unless dealer posts discount this way, both GM and the dealership will pay loyalty points toward the purchase - when they are NOT due to the customer. GM may charge dealer for GM's portion.

3 - Currently parts counter tickets are not "seen" by the loyalty program. GM working to fix this - likely this year. Once done, that is a whole different set of problems - good & bad.

Food for thought. Could change. Could be wrong. Don't know until we see it writing.

However, when GM issues an article titled "Proper Accounting for My GM Rewards on the RO" - you know something is up.

I LET OUR SERVICE DEPT HANDLE ALL THOSE VOUCHERS. THEY GET CHARGED BY GM EVERYTIME SOMEONE PULLS A VOUCHER. THE SELLING DEALER GETS CHARGED THAT AMOUNT, EVEN IF THEY REDEEMED THE PONTS AT ANOTHER DEALER. SO THEY HANDLE ALL OF THAT. MAKES MY LIFE EASIER. I JUST SHARE MY PARTS PROFIT ON THOSE SALES. ITS NOT MUCH SO ITS WORTH NOT HASSLING WITH IT

Thank you to Denise Trimble for answering Zep33's question. I have been so busy lately I haven't had time to check this thread.

I have been in contact with CDK, and so far I have not found anyone who knows how to do this - on CDK Drive. I have asked a few people who I thought would know. To be fair they are checking and supposed to get back with me.
