GM BULK OIL PROGRAM

GM BULK OIL PROGRAM

Postby DrJones » Mon Mar 11, 2019 6:59 pm

Recently became a Nissan dealer along with Chevy, they are 2 completely separate businesses in one building. Nissan bulk oil pricing is considerably less than GM and is also Mobil products. Looking into purchasing bulk oil for GM through my Nissan store and posting/selling under the GM part numbers on GM RO's for my quick lube. Would still purchase bulk oil from GM for the main shop, so GM could see I am still participating in the bulk oil program. I don't think it would effect my PASE numbers if sold under the GM number. How could GM penalize me if they came to find out?

Yeah, I didn't think it would. But GM is absolutely hosing us on oil prices.

Are you taking into consideration the discount/687 and also the advertising funds GM gives? I usually agree that GM is hosing us but I thought the oil program was pretty reasonable.

In September I usually get a $15,000 to 18,000 credit for being on the program as well as the discount on monthly purchase's. So its not that bad.

Our exxon mobil rep for gm stopped by and mentioned gm bulk oil will hurt our loyalty numbers? How does this work if gm wants us to buy from them?

It should be just the opposite so you need to have him explain it to you. You can also find the pase guidelines on the pase report page, read up on that and ask your dma for help.

That would be considered fraud by GM and they would have their way with your dealer agreement in court.
