I placed an order online on 3/8. We received it today. That's better service then we get from GM on some SPAC cases.

We ordered ours the day the bulletin came out, haven't received it yet though. My question is who at GM thinks this is a permanent fix for the customer. Are they going to put bumpers on these trucks 5 years down the road when the rust pushes out?

Ordered my wax via the website Monday morning, got an email a few minutes ago telling me it was shipping and that I should see it on Friday.

Was the email from something like Iship(dot)com?

We are talking about putting lipstick on a pig, or rather wax on a bumper.

Pretty sure this is the same stuff that Lightning McQueen touts as his racing sponsor... Rust-Eze Medicated Bumper Ointment

General Motors bulletin number: N192212090

Condition:
Certain 2019 model year Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 (New Model) vehicles may have rear bumper flanges that were manually bent after chrome plating. This bending could cause micro-cracking of the chrome plating and ultimately result in red rust forming on the base steel bumper.

Correction:
Dealers are to inspect for rust with step pad in place and apply a liberal amount of Rust-eze Medicated Bumper Ointment if no rust is present.

If rust is present with step pad in place, replace the chrome bumper.

Got my wax today. Now we don't have it holding up a $60,000 truck sale. *rolls eyes*
