Wpc is requesting back a $3 key fob battery, that is marked as hazardous (li-ion battery). Is there somewhere on workbench to get the correct labeling to ship this? I have emailed wpc looking for correct paperwork with no luck of a response.

Just thinking out loud, but do you have an old scrap fob you could send it back in? Being part of an assembly as opposed to the individual battery would no longer make it hazmat.

Post back when you receive your DEBIT warning letter.

The new Central Transport Bill of Lading has this info on it. Lithium ion batteries are UN3480. When you fill out your info and print it, you can place an X next to the UN3480. This is done through Global Warranty when you prepare to ship.

We save our hazmat boxes here so they have the label on them in case we need to return them.

Do you happen to have one of the ridiculous boxes that the batteries originally are shipped to you in?

If you do; it already has the proper label and UN # on the box and you can use that package to ship your return and it has all of the haz mat information you will need for your BOL.

according to the GM page I linked in my previous post, they are UN3090 Lithium metal batteries. so gmsubparts should input his exact part number into the gmmsds webpage to get their official description

Got a response from wpc to attach class 9 label to box and have Central pick it up. We are already in the red status for this claim. Next time I get a shipment of fob batteries I will save the box it comes with.

Got picked up by a 53' truck and trailer The driver was pretty confused with the size of the shipment.
