We are a GM dealer and we have been using the scan system for over a year now. Had a few issues ay first but other than that it works great and save a lot of time.

We are in Canada and have been using CDK Parts scan for 20 years now in an FCA store.

I give it 9/10 in how it works - is it Faster Yes- Is it more accurate -Yes
Is it worth the money -Yes.

i would not manage a larger store without it,

Do you not have problems with parts not having scan labels? It seems we get 40% of parts with no scan labels.

we get some but a smaller percentage.
if the part itself does not have a barcode on it the shipping tag / sticker of that part usually does.
I would guess maybe 5 / 50 would have to be manually keyed in.

I will say that's its been 6 month since I have spent time in shipping but if it got much worse I would have heard.

there is a possibility that Canada and USA have different packling slips or labels as well.

Are you USA?

We just switched our DMS to Dealertrack. We installed a system from Scansolutions today. We had CDK scan just before the changeover. On the face without having used it to its fullest potential yet I have to say it should be worth a look. I am exited to start to use it. I asked the installer (a former PM) if this would work with CDK. The response was yes. It is always nice to have some other options to shop for.
