Looking at upgrading the catalog hardware from Windows 7 to Windows 10 machines.

What are you using?

I5 vs. I7 processor?

How much RAM?

Is anyone using SSD instead of HDD? If so, have you noticed an increase in speed to validate spending the extra money for the Solid State Drive?

We purchase our PCs locally through an authorized HP supplier. We use HP business grade machines. Last time I spent the money to purchase a workstation over a regular PC, running an I7 with lots of RAM - didn't really notice a speed difference. Now that machine is older and I do see a speed difference between it and an equally older I5 machine.

My computer is i5-7500CPU, RAM is 8.0 GB, Windows 10 Pro

We are using a new Snap On server with SSD and it is much faster than the old one. Overall using the parts catalog is quick.
