All engine cores returned to Hollingsworth Core Logistics must be drained of fluids. Engine cores received with excessive fluids will be subject to a $100 penalty

Whose definition are they using? Looks to me just another way to screw us out of more money.

Not to mention the techs who will bitch about doing it. You know the type. " They don't pay me to drain fluids."

This was a requirement from years ago, they must have stopped checking / enforcing it. The standard used to be that if the core checking group could put a dipstick in the engine and "see" oil on the stick when removed the charge would be $100. Also if coolant ran out of the engine when lifted at an "angle" would be a violation. Never did learn the definition of "angle"

We still drain oil pan and pull block coolant plug(s).

I have "heard", but not seen in print, that the definition is the difference between "a stream" and "a drip" when the drain plug is removed. They must have a urologist on the payroll now ??

However, in this case a stream is bad, and a drip is okay. Havent heard about the angle aspect before.
