Does anyone use non-GM R134a for warranty repairs, and if so how do you charge out a non-GM part #?

We do not use non-GM parts of any kind on a warranty repair - unless dictated by a bulletin.
When billing you would bill on the repair order like you normally would, using whatever part number you use for the non-GM R134a. However, you are not allowed to mark-up the "part" at all - since it is a non-GM part. Then your warranty person would remove the part number from the claim input and move the value of the refrigerant to net-item with a description of what it is.
Also you cannot exceed the cost of the GM part, in this case GM R134a.

Remember that they (GM) also track your purchases so if you buy AFM R134a and bill as GM number that is considered fraud and they may use it against you (dealer) if they feel like it.
