We have seen the same thing. Ship direct, nothing available, but shows up the next day anyway. WTF

Posted: Tue Jun 25, 2019 7:25 pmWITH THE AMOUNT OF GROSS I HAVE MADE OFF OF BACKORDERS SELLING ON D2D THIS MONTH I HAVE PAID FOR 3 MONTHS OF OE CONNECTION SUBSCRIPTIONS. WHEN MY REP WAS HERE THE OTHER DAY I SHOWED HIM THIS AND ASKED IF GM HAD A BACKORDER PROBLEM RIGHT NOW. I THEN ASKED HIM WHY TRANSMISSIONS WERE ON BACKORDER, THEN SHOWED HIM ALL THE POWERTRAIN DEALERS ACROSS THE USA WITH 25+ ON HAND AND ASKED HIM IF THIS WAS THE REASON WHY I COULDN'T GET SUCH SAID TRANSMISSION. OH BY THE WAY WE GET PENALIZED FROM BUYING THE TRANSMISSION FROM THEM.

You shouldn't be penalized if it isn't a service lane part.
But the dollars spent anywhere else lower your ability to hit the higher (or highest) discount tier, so it may or may not penalize you...

I watched that 7 minute video of those two guys from GM, and I can't believe their mindset. We are supposed to work hand in hand with them to help them resolve a problem that they created.
And then they slap our hands for trying to take care of our customers. :shrug:
