Looking at GM's "top 10 SPAC cases" list, I noticed #6 is part # 2724966 seal with 3,094 backorder lines.

Really? An f*ing o-ring? Moreover, an A/C o-ring in July with no idea when they will have stock?
I can maybe see turbos and cat converters but an o-ring that's been around for years? Really?

Ok, I feel better now.

Clearly, summer sneaks up on them EVERY F'n YEAR!!!!

That's because they're using RIM to control THEIR inventory, or rather, LACK THEREOF !!
