Before Snap On updated our machine to windows 10 we could type in the ro# and pull up the vin. We are on CDK. Now we cannot. Called CDK and the idiot that finally answered the phone told us to contact GM. Before I call Snap On does anyone know what we need to do?

Pretty sure it's not a CDK issue... and it's DEFINITELY not a GM issue... Almost positive you need to get in touch with SNAP ON.
I had that feature at the last dealer I was at and it was really nice to have.

We copy and paste them all day long and it hasn't changed since we did the updates.

Recently had same issue on one standalone. Remedied by going to snaponsupport .com and went to ‘Snap-On EPC Plug-ins’ listed on the bottom left and downloaded ‘Snapon Integration Professional’, ‘Integration Assistant’ and ‘Active X Component’. I can’t remember if I downloaded ‘Licensing ActiveX Control’ or not. Then things began to function again. Hope this helps.

We are on RR can someone explain how to do this? It sounds like a great feature to have. Meanwhile I'll look.

We are also on CDK, and had the exact same thing happen to us after some type of Windows update.
So we called Snap-On customer support, they remotely accessed our computers and fixed the VIN button problem
quickly. Anytime I've called these folks, they have been very helpful.

We end up calling Snap On also. Very helpful and had it working in a few minutes.
