12355007 Pre Shipment

Postby TheEd » Wed Sep 11, 2019 5:15 pm

GM has pre-shipped me (30) 12355007 heat shrink tubes for engine heater recall N182206311-01, despite GM claiming only 414 affected VINs requiring parts, which apparently 8% of them reside in an area of the southeast that may see an inch of snow every two or three years.

Anyone else get saddled with a pre ship on this?

Weird they would ship the heat shrink, but not the plug that goes along with the recall. You guys must have a large inventory of Medium Duty trucks as it appears the parts are only required on 4500,5500 and 6500 models. 2500 and 3500 models simply get the cord cut.

We have mostly 2500 and 3500. Just a couple of MD trucks. But it never snows here.

That's just it. We haven't ordered or sold a single 4500, 5500 or 6500 model since I've been here.
