Internal body shop

Internal body shop

Postby Partsgm » Thu Jan 16, 2020 12:56 am

I order for my internal body shop as well as another local body shop. I Conquest price match for the local shop. I started doing the same with my internal body shop because the aftermarket parts are sometimes junk garbage. I have been burned too many times trying to save a buck with aftermarket. I strictly order GM now and try and make it back in Conquest claims. I just took over the parts department and I know I will have to order more than what's in my Conquest program available funds. Anyone have this problem?

I am not sure i understand your problem, or why you have to. Can you help explain that?

Have you checked the GM LAM website you should be able to see what you have for Conquest funds available, you might be surprised at how it can accumulate.

Yes it's very hard to use up all the funds

you're only "supposed" to match aftermarket pricing if they write for it. And you're supposed to hold the pricing match sheets for X years.

I do just that... I only match aftermarket parts on the estimate, and I file them. I play by the rules and it has gotten me some pretty good cash back while being able to use GM parts.

Like someone else said, you will never run out, the year before I left GM I left like $30,000 on the books for it. That was also using like $60g in $$$ from it...

Maybe this is why I am confused how you could use up all of that money and more. We sell almost 100% and we still accumulate more funds than we can use.
