I still use them on occasion. I do remember using them everyday, it was one of the best resources we had,

I started in the parts department in 1975 so I know most of the group #'s out of necessity, since that's all that the illistrations provided back then. If you realy want to test someone's knowledge see if they know the group #'s that GMC used in the 60's. I remember the GMC dealer in town had a 67-72 truck catalog and the groups were all together different than the other carlines. Instead of a front axle seal being 6.326 it was like 19.410. Does anyone else remember that?

While I am not that old, I do remember that because I had to look them up even in the 80's.
